Nur 6 km vom weltberühmten Rheinfall bei Schaffhausen und 30 km vom Flughafen Kloten entfernt liegt Rheinau. An die städtischen Zeiten erinnern die herrschaftlichen Häuser mit ihren Wappen und Treppengiebeln.
Der Rhein prägt das Dorf - grossartig ist die Rheindoppelschleife mit dem ehemaligen Benediktinerkloster auf der Insel mitten im Strom. In der prächtigen Klosterkirche mit ihren beiden historischen Orgeln finden regelmässig die sehr bekannten «Rheinauer Konzerte» statt.
Eine Landschaft zum Verlieben, wie geschaffen zum wandern, velofahren, tauchen und baden. Einmalig ist eine Fahrt auf dem Rhein bis zum Rheinfall. Die reizvolle Lage, das gesunde Klima und nicht zuletzt die sprichwörtliche Gastlichkeit garantieren einen unbeschwerten Aufenthalt.

Rheinau est située à seulement 6 km des célèbres chutes du Rhin et 35 km de l’aéroport de Kloten. Les maisons de maître avec leurs écussons et les pignons en escalier rappellent l’époque de sa grandeur où elle avait un statut de véritable ville.
Le Rhin marque profondément le village – l’ancien couvent de bénédictins sur une île au milieu du fleuve est tout simplement grandiose. C’est d’ailleurs dans la magnifique chapelle du couvent, avec ses deux orgues historiques, qu’ont lieu régulièrement les fameux “ Rheinauer Konzerte ”, dont la réputation dépasse largement les frontières du pays.
Le paysage de rêve invite à la promenade, à des tours en vélo, à la plongée et à la baignade. Le trajet sur le Rhin jusqu’aux chutes du Rhin est absolument superbe. La situation unique en son genre et le climat agréable, sans oublier l’hospitalité proverbiale, garantissent un séjour inoubliable.

The Rhine is the village's characteristic feature - the double loop of the river with the former Benedictine monastery on its island in the middle of the stream is magnificent. The splendid monastery church with its two historic organs regularly hosts the world-famous «Rheinau Concerts».

A soli 6 km dalla famosa cascata del Reno presso Sciaffusa e a 35 km dall'aeroporto di Kloten c'è Rheinau. Le case padronali richiamano alla memoria, con i loro stemmi e i loro frontoni scalinati, i tempi di massimo splendore del comune.
Il Reno dà la sua inconfondibile impronta al paese - imponente è il doppio meandro formato dal Reno con l'antica abbazia benedettina costruita sull'isola che divide in due il corso del fiume. Nella stupenda chiesa conventuale, con i suoi due storici organi, hanno luogo regolarmente i «Concerti di Rheinau», assurti ormai a fama internazionale.
Un paesaggio incantevole, che sembra creato apposta per passeggiare, andare in bicicletta, fare immersioni e nuotare. Una crociera sul Reno fino alla cascata è un'esperienza indimenticabile. L'affascinante posizione, il clima salubre e la proverbiale ospitalità, rendono un soggiorno a Rheinau un evento estremamente gradevole.
